experiencing severe emotional, psychiatric, behavioral
and/or substance abuse problems.

Referral of individuals to
appropriate community services according to clinical
need and financial resources.

Prompt assessment response times and
dispositions.

On-site assessment services 24
hours, 7 days a week.
Types of admissions criteria are as follows:

Must be 5 years of age or older
-
Symptoms of depression
-
Suicidal attempt or threat
-
Homicidal threat
-
Psychosis or severely disorganized thought process
-
Bipolar disorder
-
Schizophrenia
-
Panic or obsessive compulsive behaviors
-
Explosiveness or uncontrolled rages of anger
-
Evidence of substance abuse or dependency
-
Inability to control aggressiveness, cruelty, and
physical acting out
-
Impulsive behavior resulting in self harm
-
Runaway behavior which gives evidence of self
destructive behavior
-
Evidence of ritualistic behaviors
-
Lying, stealing or covert behaviors
Exclusionary Criteria are as follows:

Unstable
medical condition which might do irreversible damage to
the patient which requires intensive medical management

Those with
primary mental retardation and/or developmental
disabilities

Severe organic brain disorders
